Lost at Sea Annual Memorial Ceremony The Lost at Sea Memorial was erected in 2006 to pay tribute to all those who lost their lives at sea and were never found. The Memorial, located at Morse Park Landing, was established by the family of Johnny Brown, a 38-year old Murrells Inlet commercial fisherman who was lost at sea in 2005. All the people, whose names are etched on the monument, will be remembered at the ceremony.

In this audience interactive improv comedy the players of Carolina Improv Company pay tribute to area college students with a show dedicated to them – midterms, finals, changing majors, dorm parties, Greek life, college  sports – you suggest it and they’ll turn it into comedy. And if you’re not a student, you can still attend and feel young again! $5.00 with student ID, $14.00 for all others.

The Little River Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a new week-end event. Outdoor activities will be featured including an in water boat show, archery, fishing, hunting, garden and landscaping and much, much, more! Demonstrations will be held throughout the day. The River Sweep will be held on Sunday, April 14th from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM. In its second year, and partnered with Captain Smiley Fishing Charters to make this event part of our week-end of outdoor living. Boaters are welcome to take a cruise down our waterway and help us clean up trash and debris to beautify our natural resources and get ready for our seasonal guests. Snooky’s Casual Waterfront Dining will be on board again this year to provide lunch for all who participate. Admission to the Sports & Outdoor Living Show on Saturday is $5.00, Children under 12 are free accompanied by an adult. Participating in the River Sweep is free to boaters and individuals who can help clean up along the shore. Clean-up supplies will be provided.
