Pet Friendly Hotels

Not all condos in Myrtle Beach or North Myrtle Beach are pet friendly. Many of them do not allow pets and the hotels that do have pet friendly rooms often charge a pet deposit or an extra nightly fee to cover the costs of cleaning up after pets and to cover any damage that the pets may cause. Always check with your hotel or condo to see if they allow pets before you bring your pet with you to the beach.

Know The Laws

There are certain places in Myrtle Beach where pets are not permitted. When it comes to the beach itself, pets are only allowed during certain dates and times. In Myrtle Beach, no animals are permitted on the beach or Ocean Boulevard from 13th Ave. S. to 21st Ave. N. in Myrtle Beach during any time of the year. Dogs are permitted on the beach anytime from Labor Day through April 30. No dogs are allowed on the beach 10 a.m.-5 p.m. May 1- Labor Day. In North Myrtle Beach, no dogs are allowed on the beach from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. May 15-Sept. 15. All pets must be on a leash while in public in both Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach.

If you aren’t comfortable leaving your pets at home while you are on vacation, you may want to consider bringing them with you, but leaving them at a kennel in the Myrtle Beach area. Your pet will be well-cared for while you enjoy your time at the beach. You will also be close by incase of an emergency or if you just want to pay your pet a visit.
