Of course children love animals, but so do many adults. Why not spend some time getting to know your favorite animals up close and personal while you are visiting Myrtle Beach? Check out these top five animal attractions in the area.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Ripley&#8217;s Aquarium<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If you love fish and want to learn more about them, Ripley&#8217;s Aquarium is the place to be. There is always something new and plenty to do and see. Children enjoy being able to run freely in the aquarium and touch and experience many different things. Pet a shark, horseshoe crab or stingray and enjoy walking through the shark tunnel. You don&#8217;t have to be a kid to enjoy the aquarium, but during your visit you may feel like one.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Alligator Adventure<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Alligators are a interesting, but also a little scary. That&#8217;s what makes Alligator Adventure so fun. You get to be close to some scary and dangerous animals, but know that you are safe. Watch the alligators move around their enclosures and be sure to check out a feeding. You can also take lots of photos and learn about alligators and how they live. The best part is if you buy a ticket you get to go a second day for free.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>T.I.G.E.R.S. Preservation Station<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Few animals are as majestic as tigers and you can see these big cats up close in North Myrtle Beach at Barefoot landing. You can also meet and get photos with a lot of other interesting animals such as monkeys, tropical birds, koala bears and other big cats. It&#8217;s an experience like no other and one that is sure to make some great memories.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Cherry Grove Fishing Pier<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Where else can you touch sharks and fish straight out of the ocean? Fishermen spend hours on the pier trying to reel in a great catch and if you are on it when they do, they will likely be more than happy to let you see and touch it. Many of them may even have a few interesting facts about the fish they are catching. You can also look for sea creatures from the side of the pier and it&#8217;s always a great place to see lots of birds.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Myrtle Beach State Park<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Myrtle Beach State Park has numerous animal education programs. You can learn about animals that live in the oceans and marshes around Myrtle Beach and some programs even allow\u00a0 participants to touch the animals and help collect them for studies. There are plenty of different programs to choose from and you can pick the one that interests you.
