An ocean view condo or beach house is a rental unit that has a view of the ocean. The view may be from across the street (second row) or from your balcony that looks over the side of the building, rather than the front. An oceanfront rental unit is just how it sounds. What is "second row?"
Second row refers to a condo or beach house located across the street from the ocean. For example, Malibu Pointe is a luxurious second row condo. All second row units are considered ocean view.
After I reserve and make a deposit, how should I handle my remaining final balance?
Final payment is due within 30 days prior to date of check-in and can be paid by personal check, cashiers check or Visa, MasterCard or Discover. You are responsible for final payment. You can either give us a call or visit this page to make an online payment. (For the online payment, you must have your reservation number (provided to you through email or on the phone) and your last name. You may then enter your credit card information to pay your final balance.)
If the pending balance is NOT paid 30 days prior to arrival, the remaining balance will automatically be charged to the credit card we have on file.
What is departure maid service?
Departure maid service is the type of maid service who clean after you leave for your return home. You do not have to worry about heavily cleaning the unit/house before you leave. There are certain requirements we do ask of you, though, so please ask your reservationist. Departure maid service is included in our rental price.
Are linens included in the rental unit?
Linen processing fees are required and are based on the number of bedrooms. 1br- $45, 2br: $55, 3br: $65, 4br: $75, 5br: $85, 6br: $95, 7br: $105, 8br: $125. Linens for the beds are included, including sheets, pillow cases, blankets and comforters. We also provide washcloths and towels for the bathrooms. We do NOT provide hand towels, dish towels, or beach towels.
Will I save money if I bring my own linens?
No — you may bring your own linens, but we cannot lower the rate if you choose to do so.
Are the units equipped with irons, ironing boards, hairdryers?
Not as a rule; however, some owners do leave one in their unit—to be safe, though, plan on bringing your own.
Are trash bags, hand and dish soap, and tissue provided?
We get you started with these items but we do not replenish them during your stay — all guests either bring these things from home or shop at one of the many convenient supermarkets within a very short drive.
Are BBQ grills provided?
Resorts may have a grill on the property, and some private beach homes have a grill provided. Please check the specific amenities listed for each rental.
I would like to pay for a family member's stay, but I will not be attending.
We would be more than happy to accommodate you. We do have extra steps and safeguards needed though if you are not going to be checking in with the credit card you used, so please give us a call at 800-624-6418 for full information on this process.
What are the parking regulations at the condos?
Due to height restrictions and noise ordinances, campers, motor homes, roof-top canopies, RVs, motorcycles or custom high top vans are not allowed on all condo properties. Overflow parking is available at some resorts for busses or large vehicles. Please check with us ahead of time if you plan to bring more than two vehicles. Restrictions apply.
The CondoLux office parking lot is not an option for overflow parking or oversized vehicles. City parking is available for free of charge in North Myrtle Beach. All applicable rules and regulations are posted accordingly and are enforced by the city.
Do the units have internet access?
Most beach homes, Malibu Pointe, and The Ambassador have computer stations with internet access provided. Please check the amenities listed on each rental for more information about wireless internet access and computer stations. The following properties feature wireless internet access if you would like to bring your own laptop: Crescent Keyes, Blue Water Keyes, Laguna Keyes, and North Shore Villas.
What is your deposit policy on condos and beach homes?
Myrtle Beach Condo Rentals: A down payment of $500 is required for summer reservations, i.e., June, July, and August. A $300 down payment is required for off-season reservations (all other months). A down payment of $100 is required from each golfer per golf package. Down payments are due within 7 days of making reservations by personal check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. If payment is made by credit card, you must present same credit card at check in for verification. Regardless of how payment is made, all reservations require a valid credit card number on file to be presented at check in to ensure key return and damage security. Guests without credit card are required to give a cash security deposit of $300 at check in. Final payments are due 30 days prior to arrival—we accept Visa, Mastercard or Discover, or personal, certified, or cashiers checks only for final payment.
Myrtle Beach Home Rentals: A down payment of 30 percent is required for all home rentals all seasons and is due within 10 days of making the reservation. We accept personal checks, money order, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. If payment is made by credit card, you must present same credit card at check in for verification. Regardless of how payment is made, all reservations require a valid credit card number on file and presented at check in to ensure key return and damage security. I am confused about pricing, what is the final price I pay for a rental?
All the prices you see listed are the base price for the rentals. The final price depends on the number of bedrooms for the unit, the tax rate, processing fees, and other surcharges that may occur. For the final price, either give us a call, or the final price appears, itemized, before you make a booking online.
How do I find your office?
Find us at 311 17th Avenue South, North Myrtle Beach—on 17th Avenue South between Kings Highway and Ocean Boulevard. Click here to view this location on Google Maps.
Two good online map services are Google Maps and mapsonus.com. MapQuest and some GPS services do not recognize North Myrtle Beach and our guests end up in Myrtle Beach (two different cities). If you are lost, don't hesitate to call our office at 1-800-624-6418.

How wide is the beach?
Our beach is regarded as the widest on the East Coast! Of course the actual width depends on the high vs low tide. Check out the tide chart for more info.
Where can I rent beach chairs and umbrellas? What if I'm bringing a baby and need a crib or stroller?
North Strand Beach Service offers a selection of weekly rentals, including chairs, umbrellas, bicycles, boogie boards, cribs, and strollers. Visit their website or call 843-272-3259.
When is high tide?
The time at which high tide occurs changes every day; it may be helpful to consult a tide chart while planning your day's activities.
How close is North Myrtle Beach to Myrtle Beach?
Generally, it takes 20-30 minutes to reach a location in Myrtle Beach from North Myrtle Beach, depending on traffic. However, there are continuous shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues along Kings Highway between both cities.

How do I get my mail while I'm on vacation?
Anyone can have their mail directed to our main office for later pickup free of charge. Many renters staying for the winter will get a post office box.
